What is the size of the beads used in Muse bracelets? 

Almost all of the designs featured on our website and Instagram use semiprecious beads that are 6mm in diameter. Some pieces may feature a centerpiece bead that is 12mm in diameter or 8mm beads flanking charms as part of the design. 

If I like a particular design but want the bracelet to be made using 8mm beads, will that be possible?

Yes, that will be possible – subject to the availability of stocks for 8mm beads. Drop us a line at and we will be happy to work through your needs with you. Please note that prices are different for bracelets made using 8mm or bigger beads. 

Depending on the design, we may sometimes suggest alternatives. For example, we need to take into consideration the charm size as well and how this impacts the design of the bracelet if 8mm beads are used in place of 6mm beads. Therefore, the final design of a customized piece may deviate slightly from the bracelet as originally seen on our sites. 

My wrist size is bigger / smaller than the length options available in your store and there is no field to enter customized lengths. What should I do?

Place your order as per normal, ensuring that you select Customised Length as an option under Size. Make sure that you select your Closure option as well. Once you are done with your selections, click on Checkout. You will be brought to the Payment Page. In the field, Note to Seller, below your payment details, please add here your wrist measurement either in cm or inches.

How do I measure my wrist size?

Using a measuring tape, wrap this around your wrist at the position where you would like the bracelet to rest when you are wearing it and take down the measurement in either inches or centimetres (cm).

If you do not have a measuring tape, use a string or thread and wrap this around your wrist at the position where you would like the bracelet to rest when you are wearing it. Mark off this measurement on the string or thread. Measure the length of the string or thread from the beginning to where you have marked it off using a ruler to get your wrist measurement. 

Why do I need to measure my wrist size?

Muse bracelets use closures instead of elasticated thread, with very few exceptions. This is because the use of closures allow for better fit. In many instances, the closures used also serve as part of the bracelet design. 

My wrist measurement is between sizes. What size should I pick?

If your wrist measurement falls between available size options, make your selection of size based on your choice of closure, as detailed below.

1. Lobster clasp with extensor - Size down. 
Example: your wrist measurement is 6.7 inches. Pick 6.5 inches as the size for your bracelet. 
2. Toggle clasp or magnetic clasp - Size up.
Example: your wrist measurement is 6.7 inches. Pick 7.0 inches as the size for your bracelet. 


What materials do Muse bracelets use?

Muse bracelets use a range of semiprecious stones as detailed in the description accompanying each design in our online store. Some beads may be made of other materials such as resin, pearl, crystal pearl and so on. 

Charms are generally either silver or brass/bronze zinc alloy. As Muse designs are generally based on an antique look, rhodium is rarely used in our bracelets. 

Our leather beaded bracelets are made using coated leather cords. 


What are the different types of closures used in Muse bracelets? 

For most of Muse bracelets, we use one of the below closures:

1. Lobster clasp and extensor

A lobster clasp is a fastener that is held close by a spring. The extensor is a chain that the lobster clasp hooks onto to hold the bracelet in place. 

One benefit of this closure is that it provides flexibility in terms of fit – excellent for when you are buying Muse as a gift for someone other than yourself. 

2. Toggle clasp

This closure comprises of usually a circle or some other shape with an open centre and a thick bar. Inserting the bar through the centre of the circle holds the bracelet in place. 

The toggle clasp generally makes it easier for individuals to put on the bracelet without requiring assistance. Depending on the toggle clasp used, it can also complement the design of the bracelet. 

3. Magnetic clasp

A magnetic clasp holds a bracelet in place through the use of magnets. Available in various designs, magnetic clasps make it easy and fast to wear your bracelet. 

How do I decide which closure to choose?

If you are buying the bracelet for yourself, then it very much depends on personal preferences. Refer to What are the different types of closures used in Muse bracelets? above to read about what each type of closure offers to facilitate your decision.

If you are buying the bracelet as a gift, then it is recommended that you opt for the lobster clasp and extensor closure to allow for flexibility in fit. 


What packaging does my Muse bracelet come in?

All Muse bracelets will come in their own packaging and are currently packed in pouches as shown below. 

As Muse is all about finding inspiration, please be advised that our packaging can change without prior notice when we are inspired by new pack types based on suitability for storage and transportation of our bracelets as well as aesthetic design. 

Shipping and Timings

What are the shipping options?

Currently, by default, all orders are shipped using registered mail. Muse is pleased to offer free shipping for this option until further notice.

Where you prefer speedier shipping options, this is possible through courier services such as DHL, FedEx and so on. Note though that all costs incurred through shipping options other than registered mail are borne by the customer.

When will my order be shipped out? 

Where there are available stocks, your order will be packed and shipped out within 2 working days. A confirmation email with a tracking number for your order will be sent to you.

That said, most Muse designs are made upon order as these are made to fit. In these instances, your order will be packed and shipped within 3-5 working days. Similarly, a confirmation email with a tracking number for your order will be sent to you.

In exceptional circumstances where we are away or when we are handling an unusually large amount of orders (e.g., for events), you will be duly informed and provided with a rough shipping date. 

When can I expect to receive my order?

You will receive notification by email with tracking details for your package once your order has been shipped out.

All orders are shipped by registered air mail, unless otherwise requested by the customer. 


What are the payment options available?

Payment for your order can be made using PayPal and accepted credit or debit cards. When you click on Checkout after making your selections in Muse's online store, you will be brought to PayPal Payment Gateway for payment to be made.

Caring for Your Muse

How should I care for my Muse bracelet?

Over time, some discolouration as a result of oxidisation is natural and will occur as part of normal wear. To slow down this process, clean your bracelet with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store in a dry place.

Muse designs are not meant to be worn underwater for an extended period of time. Muse is not responsible for any discolouration or damage of the bracelet under such circumstances.


What is your returns policy?

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.  

Are there any situations where I will not be refunded in full?

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: 

1. Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

2. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

What is the returns process like?

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

What if I have not received my refund two weeks?

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 

Then contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Does your refund policy apply to sales items?

Only regular priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Under what circumstances do product exchanges take place?

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at

What happens to shipping charges for returns?

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

How long will it take for my exchanged product to reach me?

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

What shipping option should I use to send over the returned product?

Please use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
